or it could be that the avg worker in manufactur-ing makes $200-$500 per month
then you subtract 3-20% for income tax....

What a completely absurd article written by someone that choses facts to support his point of view. China's tax burden is 17% of GDP and the US is 27% of GDP. By this ridiculous article our constant reinvestme-nt of tax revenues should be taking us to the moon. Further, China came out of a regime of government ownership of ALL industry and spun them off, allowed for private ownership, etc. Hong Kong is even lower at 13% of GDP. The wealth distributi-on is higher in China than the US.

Chinese value education above all else and actually invest in it. With an educated populace especially in Math and Engineerin-g, you have not only qualified employees for today's industries-, you have future innovators and company founders. China has invested a lot in public/pri-vate partnershi-ps to create a fabric where companies can easily source products and services from each other through cheap loans to manufactur-ers. all the while, the US was busy capturing Al-Falluja-h in Iraq.($4.5 trillion down the tubes)
No matter how hard Americans work or how much stimulus is provided, Wall Street has an uncanny and unparallel-ed ability to Destroy Wealth! I guess you can say it's all about priorities

I agree, "No matter how hard Americans work or how much stimulus is provided, Wall Street has an uncanny and unparallel-ed ability to Destroy Wealth!"
The Asian Crisis of 10 years ago provided many lessons to be learned when it comes to internatio-nal financial systemic risk, financial contagion, moral hazards, et cetera.
The fact that there are internatio-nal, interconne-cted & interrelat-ed systems makes things, well, even more complex.
The United States & its people have a large role to play in this complex narrative. Supernatur-al belief systems based on imaginary concepts like free markets complete with 'invisible hands,' free trade & so on make rational persuasion nearly impossible-.
It was a house of cards before the recent crisis. It remains a house of cards. American 'exception-alism' & 'free market as savior' ideology did not prevent the recent crisis & will not prevent the next one that may be closer than we think.
Real change begins with people changing their minds. People that can't change their minds will never be able to change anything else. Ideologica-l solutions may seem to work in peoples' minds however there's a (bigtime) disconnect to reality.
We need real solutions in real life , & in real time.

The Glass-Stea-gall Act in the United States had much influence on the financial systems of other Countries.
When the US completely repealed the GSA in 1999, many other Countries followed suit.
China was one of the very few Countries that continued to maintain a separation between commercial banking & the securities industries-.
That helped.

One thing that definitely gives them a huge opportunit-y to succeed is the fact that they're a megapower, but they don't bother with being the policeman of the world. Like the USA.
We should be so simple.
